  • Don't let one exam result define your future.

Even if you didn’t get the result you hoped for in your O/Ls, remember:
πŸ“˜ A9 is a great achievement, but life is much bigger than nine subjects on paper.

Many of the world’s most successful people failed not once, but several times.
They didn’t give up. They worked harder, identified their weaknesses, learned from their mistakes, and came back stronger.

Failing doesn’t make you a loser. Staying down does.
So stand up. Try again. Learn. Grow.
Your time to shine is coming.

πŸ‘‰ Wish you all the best for your future. Keep moving forward.

πŸ’₯ Real-Life Examples of People Who Failed Before They Won:

    1. Albert Einstein

He didn’t speak until age 4 and didn’t read until age 7.

He was expelled from school and refused admission to the Zurich Polytechnic School.

Later, he became one of the greatest scientists in history, winning the Nobel Prize in Physics.

    2. Thomas Edison

His teachers said he was "too stupid to learn anything."

He failed 1,000 times before inventing the light bulb.

His attitude? “I have not failed. I’ve just found 1,000 ways that won’t work.”

    3. J.K. Rowling

A single mother living on welfare.

Her Harry Potter manuscript was rejected by 12 publishers.

She kept trying—and became one of the best-selling authors in history.

    4. Michael Jordan

Was cut from his high school basketball team.

Later became a 6-time NBA champion and one of the greatest athletes ever.

He once said, “I’ve failed over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”

    5. Sir Richard Branson

He dropped out of school at age 16 due to dyslexia and poor grades.

He built the Virgin Group, a global business empire with hundreds of companies.

    6. Abraham Lincoln

He failed in business and lost several elections.

    But he never gave up.

He became the 16th President of the United States and changed history.

So, if you're reading this after a disappointment take heart.
Failure is not the opposite of success it's part of it.

✨ The most important exam is the one called life.
Keep trying. Keep growing. You’ve got this! πŸ’ͺ

  • ✨ A Rare and Memorable Encounter! ✨

I had the absolute honor of meeting Mrs. World 2022, Sargam Koushal, at a private event held in Negombo! 🌟 Words can’t describe how thrilled I was to spend this special moment with her and take a selfie with her and her husband.

What struck me most was her humility and simplicity despite her incredible achievements. Her warm and superb personality truly inspires! ❀

I also had a chance to have a small, insightful chat with her husband about "homeopathy vs. allopathy," which made the evening even more engaging. Truly a day to remember!

  • "Ma famille de chevaliers médiévals"πŸŽ πŸ§›‍♂️
(How I came up with the character designing concept for CELS: Cambridge English Language School )

So the institute's relevance to British Council and English, directed me to design the characters as Medieval British Knights.
My mind was struck with the idea of the head lecturer Ravindu Kushan Mapitiyage being usually addressed as "sir" and suddenly, I was reminded of Sir Leigh Teabing (the Knight) from novel The Davinci Code I'd been reading.
As a matter of fact, the need for incorporating the Stallion depicted in CELS logo, went hand in hand with the MC being a Knight.
I created the names of the OCs (original characters) out of the names of the real-life characters I was inspired from, so it gives off a British impression. (Sir Avin X Amber the Stallion)
The Stallion's character is given that of CELS' developer Thisath Damiru as a tribute to his hard work! πŸ”₯

Though the concept of Knights sounds overbearing at first, my art style was able to tone the complexity down and create characters unlike any other. My versatility in these illustrations wasn't limited in this scenario as I was able to come up with 'chibi' to 'semi--realistic' arts with an obvious range of complexity changes in each illustration.
I'm truly happy with my creations! I hope it eases and promotes students engagement in studies :)
    Thanks for reading!

  • Watching TV and its negative effects
Concern is often expressed about the negative effects that television can have on young people. As far as I am concerned, the most serious damage that occurs as a result of the constant commercial pressures that vulnerable youngsters are exposed to. Advertisements every ten minutes or so as children and teenagers watch...
