Your inventory deserves special attention. The "Actions" menu allows you to dismantle, store, or otherwise manage ARC Raiders Items you bring back from raids. Just above your inventory stack, you'll find the option to expand your Stash-an essential upgrade that allows you to ARC Raiders Coins hoard more resources and prepare for future runs.
Learning how to efficiently manage Speranza is just as important as surviving topside.
Going Topside and Coming Home
Surviving a raid isn't just about combat-it's about knowing when to leave.
Once deployed, you typically have around 30 minutes to loot, explore, and complete objectives before you must extract. Each map offers multiple elevators or exit points, but not all of them remain available for the entire match.
At least one extraction route will stay open from start to finish, but safer or more convenient exits may close as time passes. Timing your return is critical, especially if you're carrying rare ARCR Items or valuable materials.
Many runs are lost not to enemies, but to greed or poor planning. Making it home safely is the real victory.
Know Your ARCs
While other players can be unpredictable, ARCs are the most consistent threat in ARC Raiders. These machines patrol nearly every area, and each type presents its own challenges.
Some ARCs can be avoided entirely with careful movement and awareness. Others demand preparation, teamwork, and the right equipment. Certain high-tier ARCs, like the Matriarch, are not meant to be fought solo and will punish unprepared Raiders instantly.
Understanding ARC behavior-how they patrol, detect players, and attack-is essential. Sometimes the smartest move isn't to fight at all, but to disengage and live to extract another day.
Mastering ARC Raiders means knowing when to fight, when to hide, and when to run.
ARC Raiders features a wide variety of quests that gradually push you to learn each map, and What We Left Behind is a great example of that design philosophy. Rather than testing your combat skills, this quest focuses on exploration, sending you across three different locations-Buried City, Dam Battlegrounds, and Spaceport-to investigate key points of interest.
If you're still getting familiar with the maps, this quest can feel a little overwhelming at first. The objectives are deliberately vague, and without knowing exactly where to look, you could waste a lot of time wandering around dangerous areas. Thankfully, none of the steps require you to extract ARC Raiders Items, which makes this quest far less risky than it initially appears.
Because of that, it's perfectly safe to deploy with a free loadout if you want to avoid risking valuable gear. You're free to bring stronger equipment if you expect trouble, but it's not required to complete any part of the quest.
Below is a step-by-step breakdown of how to complete every objective in What We Left Behind as efficiently and safely as possible.
Search Two Containers in the Raider Camp Beneath the Parking Garage (Buried City)
The first objective sends you to Buried City, specifically to the Parking Garage located on the northwestern side of the map. This area is popular with looters, as abandoned vehicles often contain useful materials, so it's a good idea to stay alert for other Raiders.
Once you reach the Parking Garage, head inside and make your way to the first floor. Look for a door clearly labeled "01." This door is locked and will need to be breached to open it. Before doing so, pause for cheap ARCR Coins a moment and check your surroundings-breaching doors is loud and can easily attract attention.
